Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Prints
What kind of paper are your prints made on?
Every Providence Art Reserve print is produced on imported Italian 300gsm cold-press watercolor paper — the same surface professional watercolor artists use. It has a subtle natural tooth that gives each illustration warmth and depth you won't find on standard photographic paper. We print using archival pigment inks rated to resist fading for generations.
What does "archival" actually mean?
Archival means the materials are acid-free, lignin-free, and resistant to fading, yellowing, and deterioration over time. Our pigment inks and Italian cotton-rag paper are independently rated for a display lifespan of 100+ years under normal indoor conditions. These are prints you can pass down.
What is a giclée print?
Giclée (zhee-CLAY) is the fine art standard for museum-quality inkjet reproduction. It uses a high-resolution printing process with professional pigment inks on archival paper, producing a level of colour accuracy, tonal depth, and longevity that commercial printing cannot match. All Providence Art Reserve prints are produced using the giclée process.
What sizes do you offer, and how do I choose the right one?
Most of our collections are available from 5"×7" through 16"×20", with framed options beginning at 8"×10". A useful rule: art should occupy roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture or wall beneath it. For a sofa that's 72" wide, a piece in the 18"–24" range tends to feel balanced. If you're unsure, contact us — we're happy to help.
Do you offer framing?
Yes. Our rustic 1" burl wood frames are finished in a rich espresso tone and handcrafted specifically for our prints. Framed pieces arrive ready to hang. We also offer matted prints if you prefer to frame locally — all sizes are cut to standard frame dimensions.
Can I buy prints for a gallery wall?
Absolutely — many of our collections are designed with gallery walls in mind. Our Duck Wings series, for example, was created as a cohesive set of 2, 4, 6, or 12. If you'd like help planning a wall, reach out with your wall dimensions and we'll suggest a layout.

Production & Shipping
How long does production take?
Every print is made to order. Production typically takes 3–5 business days. Framed orders require additional time — allow 5–8 business days before shipment.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic orders ship via tracked carrier and typically arrive within 3–7 business days after production. You'll receive a tracking link as soon as your order leaves us. We offer free shipping on all orders over $50.
How are prints packaged for shipping?
Unframed prints ship flat in rigid board-backed mailers. Framed pieces ship in custom-fitted double-wall corrugated boxes with foam corner protection. Every order is inspected before packing.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the United States. For international enquiries, please contact us.
Care & Display
How should I care for my print?
Keep prints away from direct sunlight, high humidity, and heat sources. For framed pieces, avoid rooms with significant moisture fluctuation. If your print needs cleaning, a soft dry cloth along the frame is all that's needed — never apply liquids to the paper surface.
Will the colours look the same as on my screen?
Our prints are colour-calibrated against the originals for accuracy. Screen colours vary between monitors, so there may be subtle differences — but our customers consistently tell us the print exceeds their expectations. If you'd like to discuss a specific piece before ordering, contact us.
